I was going through some old files and I came across a client that I am still really good friends with (at least 8 yrs since I met her for hypnosis) - I reached out to her and asked if I could write her story to help other therapists understand that this could happen to them. She laughed and said “was I really that difficult” Here goes …

Melanie had lost 4 babies to miscarriage before she was 25 yrs old. She had the same partner since she was 14. They were childhood sweethearts. Melanie was 31 when she came to me (and yes she is still with her sweetheart Stuart).

Heather walked into my consulting room glowing as red as a beetroot. As she sat I knew that the standard questioning was not for her. I put down my pen and paper. Turned my chair to face her and said “This is not where you thought life would be?” … she burst out crying. Their was something about Heathers energy that felt deflated.

Online hypnosis sessions and training. Is it really that effective? We are in times of change my friend.
We have always done in person and online training over the years (but all the online was self paced - and really - how many people complete it?).
With the COVID-19 virus upon us we had shifted to online training and honestly I am blown away by how great it is to connect with people from all over this beautiful world of ours.
So many wonderful cultures and traditions being shared.

For some time I have been wanting to share stories from people I have met on this journey as a hypnotist. I love to tell stories and share knowledge. It provides insight and resources.

This one I called "THEM JIGGLEN LEGS"

I met a man that was 88 yrs old and decided he wanted to give up his habit of smoking 30 cigarettes a day.
He stated that he still loves it but it was time for "the fags to go". When I asked him what his motivation was to finally kick the habit he responded in a bruff manner "back in my day deary these things were cheap! ... now they are costing me a lung!" ... I had to giggle as he said this ... I'm not sure that he realised that they were ACTUALLY costing him more than a lung.

I had many enquiries for gut directed hypnosis due to COVID-19. People overeating whilst in lockdown and isolation.
This reminded me of a woman I had met in Port Arlington many years ago. I decided to send her daughter a message and ask If I could share her story in my blog. She was thrilled that her mother’s memories were still vivid with me and said "tell everyone! not say crumbs!" hehehehehehe!
