Drama lamas … THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!
When did the world evolve into a sense of entitlement?
After working in this industry for so many years I have come to the realisation that many people fit in to one of three realms. They tend to pop in and out of the other realms however, their is always a dominant realm.
Realm 3 is the heaviest of realms - its all about self - It usually a toxic friend or lover that has their needs before all others and will twist situations and words around to make you feel bad.
Realm 2 is the trading realm - you do for me and I do for you - It’s like an unspoken contract of exchange. With no rules and continuous debt that is decided by the most cunning party.
Realm 3 is unconditional - People come and go as they please with no expectancy of trade and have a standard for self.
As I said before … We tend to shift from realm to realm based on needs and energy (or as some would call it “rapport”). Many (as in most of us) live in realm 2 - the trade agreement - a constant bartering system of energy that will never be repaid.
One thing we must learn about realm 2 is there was NEVER an agreed upon trade - it was all in our own mind.
My partners brother Luke taught me this - About 10 years ago I bought him a present for Christmas. In my family we were taught to give gifts of enjoyment and if the person gives you a gift to accept it regardless of its quality.
I gave Luke a present and got nothing in return, this messed with my head as my mother taught me never to expect anything in return however, there was always a secret trade agreement of getting “something” even if it was a simple card saying thankyou.
Gelson (Lukes brother) had told me that you can give anything you want to Luke and you will get nothing in return as he believes you gave it to him because you wanted to (nothing more nothing less) A simple yet complex concept.
This made sense to me. Luke was in the unconditional realm - a realm that was judged by the trading realm due to this unspoken trade agreement of energy. In fact: The entire family was in the unconditional realm. Just doing there thing because they wanted to and respected each other for it. If one was in town and didn’t get time to visit it was no big deal. They visited because they wanted to with no expectancy of trade of energy (aka your turn next time).
Many years later my partner John and his best friend Bob went out for dinner. Bob offered to pay for everything that evening and it didn’t sit well with me (the unspoken trade agreement was rearing its head). John said to me that I must learn to be a gracious receiver as Bob wanted to give this gift to us and he had no expectation of return. This meant Bob was in the unconditional realm as well.
I aspired to live in the unconditional realm. With my life … my love … and my students.
If people wanted to do something … GREAT! if they didn’t - SO BE IT! … in the unconditional realm of the family they could have differences of opinions (even heated discussions) and still sip coffee without repercussion. Gelson calls it “intelligent conversation”.
Now the dark part of this story …
Not long ago I had a friend exit our friendship as I had information against a device she was selling. This device was known as a HEALY device. The Healy device was a wonder healing device with new tech, that even I was super keen to invest in. It has HUGE potential to do some real good in the world and I definitely didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity.
I told my partner - He was the head seller at Harvey Norman and told me to research the electronic side as many brands have the same components - its the marketing that make us want to buy it. He used the example of Fitbit VS Alta HR … both have the EXACT components yet more people know about fitbit and would buy them based on the “rapport” created with the brand during the marketing.
So I decided to do some research. Much to my disappointment I found the HEALY device to be discredited and I could get the same effect from a resonance machine for $30 from the music shop.
I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
Many people were buying into this device … I still believe it has huge potential - its just not there yet :(
Now before you shy away bear with me about the device - especially if you already invested.
I decided to get on my Facebook page and do a video talking about the information on the HEALY page and how deceptive the language was as well as link the articles showing the discrediting of the device (even the HEALY devices webpage states it may not function as intended).
Upon this my girlfriend got extremely upset as I mentioned her in the video , discredited the device and informed people that if they wanted to buy it they should, but I would not be investing unless the device can fully support its claims.
With the messages she sent me I think we can safely assume she didn’t watch the video in full. Instead deciding to go on a tangent of hurt and anger.
Which leads me back to the “drama” lamas. When was it allowed for people to NOT be able to have a difference of opinion?
In the last 8 months I have been ostracized by many in the hypnosis industry for showing evidence of unethical practice and voicing that we need a change for the better.
When did people start taking things as personal attacks rather than feedback for improvement?
Or a better question may be … were we always like this and social media just gave us the freedom to recruit others like us?
If you purchased the HEALY device enjoy it! like I said before I believe it has huge potential in the future.
Was I a drama lama before learning the unconditional realm? ABSOULTELY … Am I still a drama lama? at times YES! thought I quickly remember why I like to stay in the unconditional realm (it honestly has no guilt or blame once you understand it).
We must decide what realm we wish to develop into. Each realm has benefits - but some realms should be visited - not lived in.
Choose Realm 3 as much as you can xox I’ll talk to you in the next blog and to my girlfriend or those that will relay this back to her. Remember - Your amazing.
