Them Jigglen Legs
For some time I have been wanting to share stories from people I have met on this journey as a hypnotist. I love to tell stories and share knowledge. It provides insight and resources.
So here goes ...
This one I called "THEM JIGGLEN LEGS"
An elderly gentleman approached me asking If I could help with his restless legs. He had them for years and was struggling to sleep. He was tall, thin and frail in appearance. With a hard working life expression on his skin.
He was 74 years old and he had met his wife at 14. They married at 18 and had been inseparable since.
His wife had passed away 6 months earlier and the restless legs had become unbearable. It was an issue for him and he told me that his wife would always massage his legs and tell him to "relax".
He had an odd request as he wanted to know If I could help him within the next 3 weeks as he was moving on. I told him it was definitely possible and we could start working together as of the next day!
We proceeded the next days session and he booked for the following week. When the following week came he was jovial about his results. As the session came to an end and I went to confirm next weeks appointment he asked "could we have it a day earlier?". I said "yes".
The final week he came and he thanked me. He said he was now free to go on his journey and not have to worry about these "damn jiggelen legs".
I shook his hand and he said "Trish, I wont be seeing you again. I'm going to be with my wife."
I was confused and enquired "You wife has passed?!"
He giggled and responded “Yes she has dear child, But at my age you know when the angels whisper it’s time”
At this stage I got concerned. Was he going to commit suicide?
I asked him If it was ok for me to contact his daughter and he said "of course, you and her will get along lovely" .. Off he went.
I immediately rang his daughter and told her the conversation we had had and she said she would go and check on him.
An hour later I received a txt message from her "Trish, my father passed away. He had the biggest smile on his face and was laying in his recliner looking peaceful and content."
I cried, whether it was from shock or sadness I don't know..
Months later I saw his daughter at the grocers and I asked her what was the conclusion and she said "he died of a broken heart. He had written in his diary that he wont have jiggelen legs when he meets his wife in heaven"
He wanted this problem solved for his wife for when he met her again. Since meeting this man I no longer feared death. I was just starting out at the time (Way back in 2000) and he gave me a great gift of knowledge. I can't say I am an overly spiritual person but I can say these situations spark my curiosity.
Stay Tuned for the next entry ...
Have an amazing day xox
